Forward Joaquin Correa was underwhelming in his opportunity in the Inter Milan starting eleven against Genoa yesterday.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Joaquin Correa made his second Serie A start of the season yesterday.
The Argentine had previously started in a 5-0 win over Hellas Verona in November. And he had been the hero in that match.
But this time around, it was a different situation.
Correa had started in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez in place of the injured Marcus Thuram. However, he was not really able to impact the match.
Joaquin Correa Underwhelming For Inter Milan In Serie A Win Vs Genoa
Correa was only able to play the first half of yesterday’s match.
Shortly before halftime, the 30-year-old former Lazio and Sevilla forward picked up a knee problem. He was unable to play on and therefore came off for the second half.

But in truth, before then Correa was unable to do much.
The Argentine did have one bright run in the Genoa penalty area. However, he was unable to make much of it or find a teammate.
Correa did see a decent amount of the ball. But he offered little to threaten the Grifone defense.
