Lautaro Martinez made Inter Milan history in the Champions League (UCL) after scoring in tonight’s 2-0 away win against Feyenoord.
Speaking to Prime via FCInterNews, El Toro refused to hide his enthusiasm after setting a new club record in the competition.
Manager Simone Inzaghi oversaw another brilliant European performance from Inter as they eased past Feyenoord at De Kuip.
Indeed, Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock toward the end of the first half to give the Nerazzurri a well-deserved lead.
Only five minutes into the second half, Lautaro put daylight between the sides.
El Toro latched onto Piotr Zielinski’s pass and hammered the ball home to become the club’s best-ever scorer in the Champions League.
The Argentine headed into proceedings level with Sandro Mazzola at 17 but broke the tie with a composed finish.
Inter could’ve taken home a more comprehensive win, yet Zielinski squandered a penalty in the 65th minute.

The record-breaking striker addressed the press after the game.
“Pride is the first word that comes to mind because I never imagined reaching this milestone,” Lautaro confessed.

“There is a lot of talk about Inter, but we have been playing every two days for eight months.
“Many of the guys have also played with their national teams, but we step onto the field to give our all for this jersey.
“Today, we had difficulties in one area, and Bastoni deserved this award for the sacrifice he made. Credit goes to him and to the whole team.
“I respect everyone, and I’ve already put everything behind me.
“I was accused of something that never happened, and I’m happy because I prove who I am on the pitch.”
