Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi delivered another disjointed performance in last evening’s Coppa Italia win against Lazio.
According to TWM, Taremi was ‘soft, slow, and dazed’ as his scoring drought at Giuseppe Meazza hit a new low.
Manager Simone Inzaghi decided to start the Iranian star ahead of captain Lautaro Martinez.
However, the former Porto talisman wasn’t equal to the challenge.
Unlike Taremi, Marko Arnautovic seized the chance as he opened the scoring with a fabulous volley.

Taremi has been a shadow of the prolific marksman he was during his prolific stint at Porto.
Indeed, he has only scored three goals in 31 appearances for Inter this season.
Furthermore, two came from the spot, testifying to his indifferent start to life in Italy.
He didn’t only fail to score last night. He barely influenced the game, often looking sluggish and out of steam.
Therefore, he’ll likely drop to the bench in the upcoming Serie A showdown against Napoli.
With Marcus Thuram on the verge of recovery, Taremi will probably need to settle for another bit-part role on Saturday.
