Inter Milan star Denzel Dumfries has joined the growing injury list at Stadio San Siro after sustaining a muscle problem against Atalanta.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Dutch wingback could miss Inter’s next three matches in all competitions.
Head coach Simone Inzaghi had to take the 28-year-old off midway through the second half against La Dea.
Though Dumfries initially joined the Netherlands camp, Ronald Koeman sent him home to work on his recovery.
Denzel Dumfries to Miss At Least Two Inter Milan Post-International Break Matches
Dumfries’ injury seemed innocuous at first.
However, he will not be at Inzaghi’s disposal when club football resumes at the end of March.

Indeed, he’ll skip Inter’s next Serie A game against Udinese and the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against AC Milan.
Furthermore, there’s a chance he could miss a league clash against Parma on April 5.
Meanwhile, Inzaghi hopes Federico Dimarco and Nicola Zalewski will recover during a two-week hiatus.
Carlos Augusto impressed against Atalanta, but Dimarco’s return would be a massive morale boost for the squad.
